Despite their illustrious history in the sport, Mexico has only made it to the quarterfinals in the World Cup, and that was back in 1986. With all of Mexico’s injuries, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if “El Tri” can’t get past the group stage again, where they will face Poland, Argentina and Saudi Arabia, respectively. The Hershey, Pennsylvania native suffered an abdominal injury while crashing into Iranian goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand in what turned out to be the winning play late in the first half.
